Programmes

There are over 350 offered programmes for undergraduates to choose between at the University of Edinburgh. There is a lot of diversity between the different programmes which gives the school a vibrant atmosphere. The usual student has a study plan that reaches over 4 years where the first year includes basically an introduction that also gives you the opportunity to build preconceptions and figure whether your actually at the right programme or not. The second year mainly consists of the basics of the subject or course you are studying while the third and fourth year is going more in depth and gives you the opportunity to hand pick some courses that interests you and gives you your own personal course to fulfil everyone’s wishes. The different programmes are divided into three different departments, which are Humanities & social science, medicine & veterinary medicine and science & engineering.
